It’s over here in South Carolina. The weather might have had an impact, a nasty cold front came through the state from the North to the South, here in the coastal counties it hit after the polls closed but in the upstate there had to be an impact. Taking a look at the breakdown of the “Newts” win county by county reveals a few things. Romney did manage to squeeze out a win in Charleston County , which is to be expected, Charleston County is the home of the elitist part of the Republican Party, the old school snooty assholes that feel any progress is a sin. Horry county which has Myrtle Beach and thousands of yankee transplants went heavy to Newt. Newt might want to thank the press for his win, bringing out his ex-wife’s accusations backfired if the goal was to attack Newt. I am not sure that was the goal, everyone knows that accusations by an ex is viewed as a low blow and pretty much being a pussy by whoever brings it up. The attacks will continue and the Republican party has major issues with the SuperPac’s, they need to get these attack ads under control, but their doesn’t seem to be any leadership in the National Republican party willing to stand up and say a damn thing. The good part of this is that it removes any new ammunition from Obama and his billion dollar campaign already underway. Who did I vote for? The one with the hottest wife of course. The poor bastards in Florida and on down the roads can look forward to unending TV attack adds, ten phone calls a day and a basic overload. Romney’s issues here seem to be “ Romneycare and Bain Capital, with the big issue being accused of being Obama light. Ron Paul and Rick Santorium are bit players , Ron looks old and worn out kind of like a crazy old uncle, Rick looks like the class president who turned out to be a self centered asshole. Strange enough the Democrat party has no backup plan or so it seems. I guess it’s either Obama or pull someone out of their ass.
