FOR THE RECORD……

It appears I have pissed in some liberals breakfast Vanilla Latte. Proving once again, liberals have no sense of humor.  I really don’t mind the comments on my grammar, sentence structure or spelling.  I am not a professional writer and to tell the truth, I really suck at that kind of stuff.

This is my blog and my opinion, if you are looking for facts go somewhere else. I  have found in my sixty plus years of existence that the truth changes and facts rarely are.  My opinion about true liberals was just that, an opinion about what I consider somewhere between 2 % to 5 % of the American population.  For the record I think true conservative’s fall somewhere in the same range. The rest of the population falls somewhere in the middle, leaning one way or the other depending on the issue and how it is presented.

I would guess I lean towards the conservative side of the house, yeah big shock. What drives my thinking in this area is probably my parents and just maybe thirty years in the United States Army. I have been retired for over ten years and work in the service provider sector as a contractor to the government. I turned down an offer to move directly to the civilian (GS) side of the government based on my opinion that 80% of the government’s civilian staff are borderline worthless.  Don’t get me started on the government employee’s union.

I do have some problems with the current administration, but probably not the same as everyone else seems to think.  I think they have done a piss poor job of letting the public know what is going on and why.  I don’t know why people thinking managing a war is like running Walmart, war is never managed well.  Look at history if you don’t believe me.  This administration has kept the terrorist from striking our homeland for a few years now, I realize a lot of people will whine about the cost in deaths and wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan and they will be correct the cost is high. What we don’t know is the cost for not doing it. If your one of those people that thinks its not worth the cost, look at what history has taught us.  Great Britain negotiated and tried to appease Hitler, it didn’t work.

  For those that don’t get it, we are at war with the Muslim Religion; you can call them extremists, terrorists or whatever. Muslims have been trying to conquer the world and force their brand of religion on everyone long before the United States was created. People can say its only a small group and that is bullshit, those groups are supported and funded by the rest of the believers. How many times have you seen a Muslims turn in and close down terrorist cells? Do you really believe you can negotiate with the leaders of this religion? In their view lying to a non believer is not a sin and its justified to further the religions goals. I am not going to argue the point that the US could have done something’s better but the reality of the situation is that it would not have made any difference. How do you come to terms with a people or religion that doesn’t even have a leader?  Read this for a short version of what has happened in this so called modern age.

Now let me talk about the immigration issue, this one is not going away and in my opinion is as great a threat as the Muslims.  The flood gates have been opened, and really doesn’t matter who or what party is responsible.  We all benefit from these illegal immigrants, they help keep the cost of labor down but on the flip side they drive the cost of health care up.  We have enough laws on the books now that are not being enforced due to either shortage of manpower or just a plain not my problem attitude.  Some people would like a steel fence all around the country with guard towers and mine fields to keep them out. This is not a realistic approach to a very complex problem. In truth we need the labor pool, the need for cheap manual labor will not go away. Our current unemployment rate is based more on so called skilled labor or to be blunt, people who think they are too good to do hard work. What I believe we need is a plan to make some of these illegal’s productive members of society who pay taxes and will help change our society.  What we don’t need is people demanding rights they don’t have and have not earned.  We don’t need  1 for English, that is bullshit, they don’t have 1 for Spanish in Mexico.  We need to secure our borders within reason, and those that invade our country are treated as just that invaders. If the Mexican Army comes across our border again, I want them dead on the spot. No questions asked , no quarter given, no excuses, you cross our border with out permission you risk death.  We need a constitutional amendment making English the official language of this country.

What is my stand on gay marriage? I really could give a shit less. They might as well join the rest of the 80% of the country that is miserable.  What is my stand on gay rights? Being granted special rights because of sexual orientation is as bad as being given special rights because of race or gender. Quota’s are bullshit, and I would be insulted if I was handed something I didn’t earn because I was a certain color , race, religion or sex.

There is discrimination in this country and it will never go away.  You can not legislate moral behavior or thinking.

My stand on religion ?  Keep it to yourself because you can’t prove it one way or the other and I really could give a shit less unless you’re a fucking Muslim.

Welfare? For those the deserve it fine for those that don’t which is probably close to 60% get a fucking job you worthless drain on society.  

Health care is becoming a very serious issue and to be blunt I am not sure it can be fixed. We as a society have lost the ablity to be obejective about health care issues. Our scientific ablities have advanced to a point where we are faced with decisions and cost’s that are beyond our ablility to comprehend or deal with.  No one wants a loved one to die or to see suffering and our collective compassion has put the country into a situation that will call for some hard choices. 

 U.S.  Population is as of the time I am writing estimated to be 305,159,499. Now I would think that a country this big should be able to do better than Obama and Mc Cain but apparently not.

 

I do read other blogs to include some so called liberals. I enjoy most of them, they are well written and I rarely have trouble understanding their main point of view. I probably don’t agree with them but it’s a free country and they can write any damn thing they please.  I do believe I enjoy the same rights.  I won’t get into a battle of wit’s with a professional writer, I would get my ass kicked and neither one of use would change our views.   I don’t edit or delete comments as has been suggested. On the other hand I really don’t get upset with the comments, I consider the source and usually move on.
