I am tired of politics, the economy and anything that the press wants to convince me is important. How much of the current economic bullshit has been caused by the press’s overreaction to every damn thing that happens? Fuck the press, their worse than congress if that is possible.

Nancy Pelosi is one stupid bitch.  She needs both republican and democrat support to push through the 700 Billion dollar legislation and the first thing she does is blame Bush and the republicans prior to the vote.  Once again she let her alligator mouth write checks her hummingbird brain couldn’t cash. You don’t think she did this just piss off republicans knowing the bill would fail and she could point her finger across the aisle?  That would mean she is just a self centered bitch wanting to make herself look important and we know that can’t be true.

Pirates shouldn’t screw with Russians

I have a hunch that being a pirate in Somalia is going to be an occupation that will be declining in popularity in the next few days. You have to be pretty stupid to stay on a ship that has Russian military equipment and then demand a ransom. If memory serves me right the Russians are not know for their sense of humor. We will of course surround the pirates and try to talk some sense into them, like that will work. I hope the Russian Navy will just steam over kill everyone and then hunt down some more pirates just for the hell of it.

I was asked the other day by one of the women that works for me why I have three vehicles. Simple answer is, because I can.  I am not rich but I do alright and I don’t owe a dime on any of the vehicles.  I could have informed her that the Dodge truck was to pull the camper, the Caddy was my main form of transportation until I saw the BMW for sale.  The BMW is a 2003 540I, it has a v8 engine and flies and is damn fun to drive.  Since I also have a garage full of tools and am a qualified A&P mechanic, working on my vehicles is not a problem.  I do keep my tires inflated, in fact I run my tires a bit over the car makers recommendations and below the tire max inflation guide.  I don’t do this on the truck the difference is not that much on a dually.   Does running my cars on higher inflation help gas mileage?  I guess it might but it also changes the handling of the vehicles, since the car maker has set the stock shock and springs for a certain inflation rate and tire width and height.  I see a bigger difference on the Caddy and not so much on the BMW, which is what i would expect given the difference in the vehicles basic structure. I also see a difference in braking, and brake wear.  So does the difference really have an impact on my out of pocket expenses? I can’t really tell yet, the car makers recommended tire inflation will save on brakes and handling but actually increase tire wear and give me a bit less on gas mileage.  Slightly overinflation gives me better gas mileage, reduces tire wear but tends to wear out brakes faster.  What I have found is that the brand of gas makes much more of an impact on mileage than just about anything else.  I have also found that the day of the week that I fill up make a difference.  Gas is normally delivered at the station I use twice a week on Monday and Friday. I avoid filling up on those days.  My best gas mileage happens when I fill up at a certain station in the middle of the week.  So how much is the difference? According to the on board computers about .5 miles per gallon.  The impact over a year of driving ? I calculated on 12000 miles a year and the difference is about $42.00.  Does it help to shop around for gas?  If I can find gas more than .10 difference per gallon it will save me a bit the difference between 3.45 a gallon and 3.65 is about $110.00 per year if I get the same mileage which is not the case. Dirt cheap gas has given me worse mileage and more problems than it is worth.  So Obama’s plan to keep your tires inflated is much less of an impact than choosing a reliable gas station and a good brank of gas.  Just for the fun of it, the Caddy gets about 19 mpg for me on my trips on regular gas, the BMW  gets about 22 on premium.  The difference is not worth working out.  Here are the pictures, eat your heart outs liberal scum.

Liberal are highly educated morons

After having puked my way through some liberal blogs the theme is clear.  Obama (The One) has created so much fear in McCain that he is afraid to debate him.  I can see that a man who spent five years in a POW camp being afraid of a man who got his ass whipped daily on the playground.  McCain is afraid of a man who can’t talk without a script and a teleprompter.  The message I get from the Obama camp is that having Obama elected president is more important that the economy and the country.  Obama would welcome this delay since he is a walking, babbling disaster area that makes Joe Biden look like a genius if he doesn’t have a scripted program.  The only way Obama shouldn’t want a delay is if he has some how worked a deal for the debate.  That would mean that Obama and his cronies are crooks and his whole campaign is smoke and mirrors.

McCain has suspended his campaign to go back to congress and deal with the current crisis. Aparantly Obama has different priorities. Any doubt in you mind who you want running this country?

I was just wondering how much of the current Wall Street issues are actually caused by the press?  We know for a fact that the rumor mongers of the press world started the panic run on gas last week here in South Carolina and it became a self full filling prophecy.  I use to think that the majority of the people in the country took what the press published with a grain of salt. I am beginning to believe that we have become a country of morons who will panic as the drop of a news story. The press has rapidly become it’s own worst enemy.
