It’s Sunday, but I need to be 180 miles north of here on Monday morning. So on the road, which even though it’s mandatory will piss off the Corporate Gods , because I am going to charge the time against an account. It seems they want it both ways, sorry assholes, your mandatory training , mandates I log all hours even though the local dipshit in charge doesn’t like it. Sucks to be stupid.
Our founders considered certain rights of critical importance in preventing totalitarian regimes. These rights were considered so absolutely critical to a free society that they were termed inalienable by the founders, meaning that no government entity federal or state could regulate or remove them from the citizens. For that reason for 218 years a convicted murderer could walk out of prison after his sentence was up and purchase a gun legally, that’s how seriously we took our inalienable rights.
In the last 20 years we’ve passed federal laws stripping citizens permanently of their second amendment rights, allowing people to be pulled over and searched on our highways without cause, regulating and taxing political speech, allowing law enforcement to confiscate property without issuing charges or convicting of crime, allowing private property to be taken under imminent domain for private entities and passed federal legislation mandating that we purchase insurance. That’s how seriously we take our inalienable rights today…
Both political parties support some or all of these infringements on our precious inalienable rights, the only inalienable rights on this entire planet, the very rights that made America synonymous with Freedom.
If you trade your inalienable rights for illusions of safety and fairness you’ll end up with nothing but illusions. At the very least we should go through the constitutionally mandated means of removing inalienable rights if Americans seriously believe those rights should be privileges rather than rights. If we allow simple legislative manipulations determining ad hoc which are inalienable and which are not then they’re all alienable by definition and the constitution is a useless piece of parchment not even valuable enough for display.

Make a statement on a liberal blog and wait, it will be turned into something that was never said. If Fox news is so horrible and bias, why is it number one? Why is anyone claiming issue’s with ACA a liar? I can keep my Doctor and my insurance coverage, only if the overlords approve, did Obama Lie or is he just stupid?
Russia is climbing back; does anyone really think Putin give a shit about Obama and his empty threats? More stupid from the administration, this country is sick of war, stay out of other countries issues. Syria is not our problem, the Ukraine is not our problem, but if the administration wants to keep up this bluff, cutting the military is probably not a smart idea.
The administration is claiming and probably correctly that war is expensive and we can’t afford to keep the military and the social programs at the current funding. Its simple math for the democrats cut 100,000 military votes and gain 500, 00 social welfare votes, it keeps the base happy and who really gives a fuck about the troops. Hidden within the reasoning is the acknowledgement that future conflicts will cost more lives but who gives a shit, they are just troops. There be recruitment issues, who cares that is the militaries issue. The fact that suicide, divorce rates and mental issues and veterans care are rising doesn’t impact them, just cut the budget, after all they are just troops.
Another hollow Army is coming, and when and if it comes time to ramp up, there is a good chance there will be no one to fill the need. Those that will try to join will be those that the military doesn’t need.
A strange case of opposites. Arizona has pushed a law saying basically that if you own a business and you’re a religious person and you believe the gay and lesbian life style is against your beliefs you don’t have to serve them. I personally don’t have a problem with this, the marketplace will determine the success or failure of the business. I really don’t believe anyone’s constitutional freedom has been breached. I smoke but there are millions of places that won’t let me smoke that is there right. There a places I can’t wear shorts or I have to wear a shirt, is that discrimination? This law is a push back against the gay agenda of suing anyone that doesn’t like or approve of their lifestyle. Here in SC there is a law coming up that says if you have concealed carry permit you can go into a bar, but you can’t drink if you are armed. The law also permits the bar to put up a sign denying service to anyone that is armed. Now think about this, do you really think a criminal gives a fuck about a sign or a law? It’s kind of sad in a way that we have to pass additional laws to protect the rights we already have. It’s sad that States have to pass laws on illegal immigrants because the federal government won’t or can’t do the job.
I do see that some people have invited the gay’s and lesbians to their state for a party, I sure hope none of them are white disabled veterans.
I read a lot of blogs, and comments from news articles about political and non political events. I am sick of it, the nasty name calling, and the apparent inability to try to understand both sides of a statement. It is clearly out of control, a discussion is not possible, it’s all name calling and going to the lowest of comments. I am as guilty as any, but it has to stop. This country has problems, and it really doesn’t matter whose fault it is, name calling won’t fix it. Ignoring facts won’t fix it; making up facts won’t fix it. Change has to come or we will continue down a path of division that will be impossible to bridge. Discussion has become a lost art; no one wants to admit that a point of view is not 100 percent accurate. We have gone past a civil discussion and disagreement on an issue to name calling accusations that have nothing to do with the current subject. The whole thing reminds me of kids in grade school arguing at recess. No government or individual can fix everything, there will always be poor people , uneducated people, there will always be social injustice, people will die who shouldn’t, and there is nothing we can do that will fix everything, it is not possible.
Here is a well known secret, life isn’t fair. No amount of government help, interference, legislation or blackmail will make everyone equal. We are not equal, not going to happen, millions of people are not as smart as I am, and millions more are just as smart or smarter. No one has my life experience, I repeat, no one has my life experience and I don’t have anyone else’s life experience. What I have learned is people are evil, people are good, people are greedy, some people are good looking, some people are ugly and most people are assholes. Being a veteran doesn’t give someone some miracle view of the world, but it does give you a sense of right and wrong and set of rules that become part of you nature. I also believe with few exceptions people are neither completely liberal nor completely conservative; those that are belong in a nut house. I know people kill people, guns are just a tool, I know there are streets that as a white person I avoid at night. I believe that the art of being a parent has been replaced with the non art of being a friend to your children. People will usually take the easy way out, the ability to stand up and take the blame has been replaced with the art of passing the buck. I know for a fact that when I was young I was an idiot, I learned some hard lessons, I learned that hard work doesn’t mean you will be successful, I learned that being lazy and lying will sometime move you to the top. I know people want to believe in the good and will believe any lie to justify what they believed in. I know no one owes me anything, no matter what I have done, either good or bad in the past. I entered a contract with the government where I would give thirty years of my life to go where they wanted and to do what they wanted. The government promised me a retirement based on my years of service and free health care for the rest of my life if I fulfilled my part of the contract. I did my part, the government changed the rules, of course was for the good of the people. Our government is like a teenager, promise anything but not a clue about tomorrow. We have the government ,we as the people selected, we took the easy way out, and we believed the lie, the bullshit no matter what the past has shown. I don’t blame Obama for the current disaster; I blame the American people for being greedy and stupid. These are the same people that would not give car keys to a 12 year old but will hand over the keys to the country to someone with no experience and political parties that have done nothing but lie to them for years. My solutions, easy go to Wal-Mart buy a six pack and watch the Olympics, just like the rest of the country. I tried to pass on the wisdom of my father to my children and failed, maybe my grandchildren will revolt against their parent and take control but my time has come and gone.
