Job Change

The past few weeks have been hectic so say the least. Between switching jobs and having major house changes sleep is much more important than blogging. As the two of you know I am a military contractor type and work on government defense contracts. I would like to thank Bill Clinton for this golden opportunity, when he gutted all the support troops he gave us retired types jobs. I went from a minor contractor company to a major contractor company, you know the low bid wins, even if it isn’t really the low bid. Well either way I got a nice pay raise, mass confusion and new leadership that is all about slide shows, internet and scheduling tools. We are all about Gantt charts, Pert Charts, six sigma, resource management and Microsoft projects driven to the user level. The interesting part is the work force remains the same but with a cut in pay, but promises have been made by upper management and the beatings will continue until moral improves. For those that have been around for a while it’s all smoke and mirrors, bullshit carried to an art form. I have worked with three or four scheduling tools and everyone one of them is fancy ass spreadsheet with a few formula’s that spread load a man-hour requirement. I guess some people never learn, software never produced a damn thing, it’s all about the people. Treat people right, treat them fairly, give a day’s pay for a day’s work and fire the non producers and reward the good workers and the rest of this bullshit can be done away with. As for the new company, you know it and never knew they were a major military contractor, bet you are using one of thier products to control your heater.

It means more to me each time I listen.

Thankful for something, just not sure what

One year ago there was a large segment of this country all happy because of “Hope and Change” the theme for Thanksgiving. This years theme is “I hope I have some change “. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone even the dumbass’s that voted for the smoke and mirrors man.

Hey, looks like the federal government think group is saying you old broads don’t really need those boobies crunched up anymore until your 60 or so. It seems like it is not cost effective, its not a death board its boobie board and your tits have been found not worthy.

Up early , out of coffee

I am up early again, it seems sleeping past 5:30 is a dream of the past. I have been getting up before dawn for most of my life, it seems a regular job will do that to you. A quick run through the networks is showing massive whining, bitching and stone throwing against Sarah Palin. I am amazed that the press and moronic liberals are so afraid of a woman they have labeled as a backwards dumbass. I guess they are afraid that America will drink the cool aid she is selling just like they drank the Obama bullshit and elect her hoping for change. One thing is clear, this country has experienced a change and instead of the fairy kingdom promised by the master Liar and Chief, we have a country rapidly descending into a dawn trip through Bourbon street. The party is over the bright lights and drunken spending has taken its toll, we wake up to a garbage dump and no street cleaners in sight. We are finding out what happens when special interest groups run a country and we drift away from the core values that founded this country. We no longer hold a person responsible for his or her failures, we have to look for a group reason and throw money at an issue that can’t be fixed or defined. Our leadership is more concerned with being popular than making the hard choices and doing what is right. I can’t get my meager mind around the last years failure and incompetent behavior by congress. A massive bailout of companies that are to big to fail that are failing anyway. A car buying program that destroyed the used car market and drove the cost of buying any leftover used cars up to a point they can’t be afforded by people who need these types of vehicles. That is just two, and now we are looking at more massive programs doomed to failure before the current Loser and Chief puts his signature across the bottom of thousands of pages of bullshit. Now we are looking at two programs that do nothing to cure a problem but just hand over more and more of our freedom to the federal government and create more and more worthless ass government workers who are hired and promoted based on the good old boy system. If you think I don’t have much use for federal workers you would be correct. I have had to deal with a segment of these ass covering , non decision making, excuse making, finger pointing losers for over 15 years. Where I work there are over 70 government employee’s supervising a contract work force that varies from 90 to 400 and 90% of them are totally fucking worthless. I better get off that rant before someone tracks my ass back and I get fired for telling the truth. The bottom line is if you are someone that thinks the federal government can do anything without fucking it up your one stupid son of a bitch.

Damage control is underway, no I am not talking about our current Dumbass n Chief. I am taking at the old homestead. Its renovation time, I am sick of the fucking carpet and have decided it’s time for it to go to the dump for Muslims to slam their head on while praying too they’re beloved goat fucker. This all started by replacing French doors going out on the deck, it seems the moron that built the deck built it level with the door frame and over the years water rotted out the damn thing. Well it got worse, it seems about 12 foot of the support structure was rotted out and the termites had had feast. Well a couple of thousand dollars later all is well, a new short deck , new doors , subfloor and base framing has all well. Since that screwed the floor up it was time to refinish the hardwood floor and that is ongoing, and since the upstairs carpet basically sucked I also am having that replaced with a floating floor. The guys doing the work have been out of work for a while and agreed to do it for about half price, a big thank ya to Obama on that one. I can’t bitch they are native sons, they need the work and I need the repairs. They are the work hard and not smart kind of guys so I have to keep an eye on them and make it a pay as you go project. I could have helped out but it is fun at times to watch someone work themselves half to death for four hours when the job could have been done using a little brain power in thirty minutes. I guess you are calling me an asshole, well I don’t have an Obama/ Biden sticker on my truck, they do.

Today, I shall remember, I shall weep, and tomorrow I will return to work because that is what they would do.
